Rides
The Marques & Minds of Motorcycling
We throw a leg over a machine and something in us fires into life. This is a book about that moment, and everything that follows it: the marques, the roads, the tribes, and the minds of the people who ride. Written by a consumer psychologist who has ridden since he was eleven, across dozens of countries.
The road reveals what the mind conceals.
Placeholder only. The final cover will be revealed here.
The Book
Every rider carries two engines: the one between their knees, and the one behind their eyes.
Rides follows the throttle from the first nervous twist to the open road, reading the great motorcycling marques, the tribes who ride them, and the machines themselves for what they reveal about the people who love them. It's part psychology, part engineering, part travelogue, and wholly a love letter to two wheels.
Its author, Nadim Sadek, has spent four decades understanding how people feel about the things they choose, and a lifetime in the saddle. Rides brings those two together: the physics of why a machine thrills us, and the psychology of why we keep coming back for more.
Forthcoming from Veloce in 2027. The book is taking shape in the open, here. Come and watch it happen.

Tell me what you'd want to read.
It's always helpful for an author to be talking to their future readers. If there's a marque you love, a feeling you've had while riding, a thought that's stayed in your mind about bikes, a road you would ride again, a tribe I've missed, or a question you want the book to answer, send it here. This comes straight to me, and nobody else sees it.

No money, no commitment. Just a note when there is something worth telling: the cover reveal, the publication date, and the chance to be among the first to read it. Perhaps a small role in the book itself.
